About Me

Hi, I’m Ed Martin and I write the MicroBiz Made Simple blog to help people start their own successful microbusiness and to discover their inner micropreneur. I began blogging about small and microbusiness way back in 1999 (before it was called blogging!), and started the MicroBiz Made Simple blog in 2009 to help folks deal with the sometimes overwhelming prospect of starting a new business in a difficult economy. I started my first business during a recession and know what that is like.

I’ve run an antique and craft business with my wife and have been a freelance technical writer, translator and software consultant for 15 years. In addition to running my own businesses I’ve also worked as a small business counselor and writer. Along the way I picked up my MBA in marketing.
